Tips to Finding Victory in Turbulent Times

During turbulent times like now, with war and division dominating headlines, how can we still achieve personal victories in life? When I talk about "winning at life," I mean it in a deeply personal sense. The small victories matter immensely. The quiet struggles we endure shape us. The everyday moments of grace often go unnoticed in a society that values "bigger is better." But is bigger truly better?


In the face of such intense conflict, fear, and animosity, what steps can you take to maintain a personal perspective that feels victorious?


The small wins mean everything and here are my small tips for enjoying life during turbulent times:


Cooking your favorite meal. Practicing yoga or exercising to move your body. Painting. Hugging loved ones. Sipping a cold cup of water. Seeing the orange leaf just outside your door. Enjoying your morning cup of coffee. Making it to work just in time with a few extra minutes to spare. Achieving the perfect hair braid. Reveling in a refreshing shower. Writing a touching journal entry. Tasting incredible guacamole. Savoring crisp, hot French fries. Relishing the thick, hearty soup Mama made. Cooking a new meal that turns out perfectly. Sleeping so deeply you wake with blanket marks on your face. Lighting your favorite candle and settling into a bath. Finding a new clip for your hair. Lathering your loofah perfectly so your body feels entirely clean. Feeling the smoothness of freshly shaven legs against your sheets. Slipping on a pair of cozy fuzzy socks. Treating yourself to flowers from the store. Enjoying a few uninterrupted minutes of sunlight. Delighting in the fresh scent of flowers on your nightstand.
