A little island called Sardinia, Italy is located in the Mediterranean Sea and is known for its sandy beaches and hiking! If the white beaches and emerald clear waters aren't enough, then be ready to experience the best sun and fish of your life!
Sardinia was the first place I took a solo trip! Nervous yet courageous, I explored the island at a slow and gentle pace while Mother Nature hugged me tightly. Below is my travel guide getaway for Sardinia, Italy: Solo Style!
Some Pointers:
Recommended amount of time: 3-4 days (for extra time laying on the beach!)
How. to get here: Direct flights from Rome, Italy
Must try: Ichnusa Limone beer
Place of Stay:
Airbnb: One of the most wholesome Airbnbs I have ever stayed in! Located in the heart of Cagliari, It was perfect for one but could accompany more. The owner was beyond helpful sending me places to eat, things to do, and festivals in the area! Perfect walking distance from public transportation, markets, and the port for boat excursions!

Things to do:
Beaches in Sardinia
There are a TON of beaches in Sardinia but I was closest to the Poetto coast which is one of the longest beaches on the entire island! It was accessible through free public transportation and an easy ride!
Poetto Beach

Ancient Ceramic Experience in a Local Home: For me, I love nothing more than using my hands to create, especially when it's for pottery. This was around the corner from my Airbnb and offers the best local experience you will get! We were in a local's home, chatting with the son in English, eating their favorite finger foods from the island and wine, while creating ceramic bowls!

Sailing excursions to the Devil's Saddle: Coasting on a gorgeous sailboat on the emerald blue waters, this three-hour experience is the perfect way to swim in deep waters and get an amazing history lesson while sightseeing! Finger foods and wine served!

Food:
While the island offers a variety of cuisine, I spent the majority of my time cooking in my Airbnb with locally sourced ingredients from markets nearby! My best recommendation is to eat as much fish and local wine!
Peace and love! Cheers to females solo traveling! It takes a lot of courage, trust, and confidence!
