Búzios, Brazil is a city within the state of Rio de Janeiro, situated approximately 2 hours from the bustling city of Rio de Janeiro. Escaping the fast pace and high energy of the big city, Búzios offers a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere. Its cobbled streets give it a charming familiarity. Despite its small size, the town bursts with life and iconic stunning sunsets. Búzios appears as a tiny dot on the map but has a "tranquilo" culture that I highly recommend experiencing. While day trips from Rio are possible, I suggest staying at least 2 days to fully immerse yourself in the magic of Búzios. Below is a guide for Búzios, Brazil!
Recommended time: 1-2 days

While Búzios is relatively small, there is a local bus service that allows you to explore the city (by paying in cash).
Places to stay:
Selina: This hostel is perfectly located, putting you right in the heart of the city action!
Che Largarto: Another excellent hostel just a few minutes' walk from the main area.
Things to do:
Visit Arraial do Cabo: Renting a car in Búzios is your best option for exploring the stunning beaches of Arraial do Cabo, known for their crystal-clear waters.
Beaches to Visit in Buzios:
Praia Rosa: Pink-colored beach more on the secluded quiet side, with one vendor for caipirinhas! Right across from this beach is Praia de Ferradura
Cafes x Restaurants:
Maria Maria Cafe: A cozy spot offering coffee and a variety of food right near the water.
The Cake Dreams: A must-visit spot for the best cakes, particularly the banana cake with chocolate and dulce de leche.
Mata Hari: Located by the water, this restaurant offers fair prices and delicious local cuisine. Don't miss trying the "Moqueca Frutos do Mar!"
Any restaurants near the beach on “R. Maria Joaquina” and nearby streets will have a variety of flavors and cuisines!

Chelsey
